Meet the Care Manager
My name is Jody Boswell and I am the Extra Care Manager for Dymond House and Travers Court. I have always had a passion for health care and have worked in the industry since I was 18, I couldn’t see myself ever doing anything else.
I worked as a support worker for many years before progressing up to a manager with my previous employer. I am privileged to have worked with a wide range of client groups including adults with learning disabilities, mental health and the elderly, I really feel I have taken something and learnt from each person I have supported.
I am originally from Devon but relocated to start work for Absolute Care Services and am thoroughly enjoying it.
Jody Boswell, Extra Care Manager.
Dymond House is an Extra Care Scheme staffed by ACS staff 24 hours a day. Our staff provide a ‘Core’ Service to respond to unplanned emergencies, welfare checks and medication calls to clients within the building. We also have a ‘Flex’ team of staff who provide homecare visits to the clients in their own homes within the building for them to receive personal care, meal preparation, housework and laundry, as well as social inclusion to enable clients to access the community or have a bit of 1 to 1 time to alleviate social isolation. The benefits of extra care are that someone is on site 24 hours a day.
